Typical Day in the Life of a Student


Basic Training: A normal day starts at 5:00 a.m., by 5:15 a.m. he has completed personal hygiene.  Physical training takes place every morning from 5:20 a.m. to 6:10 a.m.  Breakfast is from 6:45 a.m. to 7:05 a.m. Additional hygiene and kitchen cleanup is conducted from 7:05 a.m. to 7:35 a.m.

School: Our 6-hour school day is from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  
Lunch:  Lunch is from 11:45 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., followed by clean up and special details.  
Character Growth Studies (GSNC’s) and Personal Studies for New Christians (PSNC’s) are conducted at 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.    Dinner is served at 4:45 p.m. After dinner students are moved to the dorm for showers and PSNC studies.  Lights are out at 8:30 p.m., ensuring (9) hours of sleep every night.

Gateway no longer operates like boot camps or military schools, but retains the structure and discipline of military academies.
