Military Schools for Troubled Teenage Boys
When given the structure and order of a military school, wayward teenage boys turn into respectful, confident leaders and responsible citizens. Gateway Military School is like no other. We have a boot camp, a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm, as well as counseling and mentoring, and competitive team sports.
Spending Time in this Military School Sets the Stage for a New Start and a New Direction
Gateway Military School enrolls teen boys from around the country. Over 1000 boys from every state and internationally have changed the course of their lives at Gateway. While you might be looking locally for a discipline school for your son, take into account that getting away from the peers and culture he’s being influenced by might be exactly what he needs.
Understanding, Compassionate Staff Teach Our Students a Better Way to Live
Associated with the nationally recognized Teen Challenge program, Gateway serves teenage boys ages 11 to 17 who have made rebellious choices in life. Our campus is located in the panhandle of Florida. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we commit to demonstrating the love of God to each and every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Many of our staff have been in your situation, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
Military Schools Can Paves the Way for Transformation
Boys begin in our boot camp with basic training under the supervision of drill instructors. For the first few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to orderliness and chores surround them with structure and establish order in their lives. They begin to stop struggling against authority and begin to increase in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive rather than their previously destructive activities. Eventually, they promote to higher levels, obtaining privileges and responsibilities in the process. The senior behavioral level student is eligible for off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Teaching the Importance of Academic Success
School takes place year-round as students work at their own pace through high-quality curriculum and certified teachers. Most students who had been failing or falling behind not only get caught up but get ahead. We meet all established by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they graduate our academic program. Our high standards allow transfers to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction, and Purpose
Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Jesus and strive to establish a godly atmosphere helpful to Christian growth. Students attend group Bible studies, go to chapel services twice weekly, and spend time with a counselor to complete individually assigned Bible studies designed for character development.
A Concentration on Family Restoration
At Gateway, we focus on family restoration. After four months of enrollment for the cadet, parents begin attending weekend seminars for training about boundaries, strong marriages, and constructive parenting.
Most boys in our military school turn from their self-destructive behavior to a life of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider Gateway.
