Our Friendly Staff Teach Our Students a Better Way to Live
Gateway Boys Academy serves boys ages 11 to 17 who have chosen a dangerous path in life. Our campus is located in the panhandle of Florida, and our school is reachable from Walnut Cove, North Carolina and cities throughout the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we commit to demonstrating the love of God to each and every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. A number of our staff have been in your situation, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a teen of their own in our military school in the past.
Boys are Transformed through Gateway Boys Academy
Students begin in our basic training platoon with the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial few months, physical training, a packed schedule, attention to orderliness and chores provide them with structure and establish order in their lives.
At Gateway, boys begin to stop struggling against authority and begin to increase in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. Over time, they promote to higher levels, obtaining privileges and responsibilities as they move up. The highest level student is allowed to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Academic Success through High-Quality Curriculum and Skilled Teachers.
Most boys who were failing or falling behind not just get up to date but pull ahead. We meet all established by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they graduate our academic program. Classes run year-round as students work at their own pace through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow transfers to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
Boys Discover a New Relationship with God, Direction and Purpose In Life
Spiritual things are important at Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Christ and strive to create a Godly atmosphere favorable to Christian growth. Young men attend group Bible studies, go to chapel services twice weekly, and spend time with a counselor to pursue individually assigned Bible studies designed to build character.
Family Restoration is Our Hallmark
At Gateway, we focus on family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend conferences to learn about boundaries and constructive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your teenage boy needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider Gateway.
Although it is not located in Walnut Cove, North Carolina, Gateway may be the type of environment your teen needs to generate a positive change. Please call or fill out our inquiry form for our boarding school today.
