Our Friendly Staff Teach Our Boarding School Students a Better Way to Live
Gateway Boys Academy serves teenagers ages 11 to 17 who have gone off-track with life. Our campus is located in the panhandle of Florida, and our facility is reachable from Stephens City, Virginia and cities around the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we commit to demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Several of our staff have been in your place, either having attended a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
Boys are Transformed through Our Military School
Students start in our basic training platoon beneath the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to neatness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives.
At Gateway, boys learn to stop struggling against authority and begin to get confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive rather than their previously destructive activities. Over time, they promote to higher levels, obtaining privileges and responsibilities as they move up. The trusted students are able to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Most teens who were failing or falling behind not just catch up but get far ahead. Gateway meets all requirements by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. School takes place year-round as students study at their own speed through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow transfers to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
Boys Discover a New Relationship with God, Direction and Purpose In Life
We emphasize spiritual life at Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Jesus and strive to keep a Godly atmosphere favorable to Christian growth. Students attend group Bible studies, go to chapel services twice weekly, and meet with a counselor to discuss individually assigned Bible studies intended for character growth.
Family Restoration is Our Hallmark
At Gateway Boys Academy, we concentrate on family restoration. After four months of enrollment for the cadet, parents begin attending weekend events to learn about boundaries and positive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider Gateway.
Although not located in Stephens City, Virginia, Gateway could be the sort of environment your son needs to generate a change for the better. We invite you to call or submit our inquiry form for our boarding school today.

Stephens City is an incorporated town in the southern part of Frederick County, Virginia, United States, with a population of 1,829 at the time of the 2010 Census.
Founded by Peter Stephens in the 1730s, the colonial town was chartered and named for Lewis Stephens in October 1758. It was originally settled by German Protestants from Heidelberg. Stephens City is the second-oldest municipality in the Shenandoah Valley after nearby Winchester, which is about Convert to the north. “Crossroads”, the first free black community in the Valley in the pre-Civil War years, was founded east of town in the 1850s. Crossroads remained until the beginning of the Civil War when the freed blacks either escaped or were recaptured. Stephens City was saved from intentional burning in 1864 by Union Major Joseph K. Stearns. The town has gone through several name changes in its history, starting as Stephensburg, then Newtown, and finally winding up as Stephens City, though it nearly became Pantops. Interstate 81 and U.S. Route 11 pass close to and through the town, respectively.
A large section of the center of the town, including buildings and homes, covering Convert, is part of the Newtown-Stephensburg Historic District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Stephens City celebrated its 250th anniversary on October 12, 2008. The town is a part of the Winchester, Virginia-West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area, an offshoot of the WashingtonBaltimoreNorthern Virginia, DCMDVAWV Combined Statistical Area. It is a member of the WinchesterFrederick County Metropolitan Planning Organization.
