Our Friendly Staff Teach Our Students a Better Way to Live
Gateway Boys Academy serves young men ages 11 to 17 who have made rebellious choices in life. Our campus is located in the panhandle of Florida, and our school is accessible from Murphy, North Carolina and cities throughout the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we believe in demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Several of our staff have been in your place, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a teen of their own in our military school in the past.
Boys are Transformed through Gateway Boys Academy
Students start in our basic training platoon with the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial months, physical training, a packed schedule, attention to orderliness and chores surround them with structure and establish order in their lives.
At Gateway, boys figure out how to stop struggling against authority and start to increase in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. Eventually they promote to higher levels, gaining privileges and responsibilities in the process. The trusted students are able to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Most students who had been failing or falling behind not only catch up but pull ahead. We meet all requirements by Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Classes run year round as students work at their own speed through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow students to transfer back to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
Boys Discover a New Relationship with God, Direction and Purpose In Life
Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway Boys Academy. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Christ and strive to keep a Godly atmosphere encouraging to Christian growth. Young men attend group Bible studies, go to chapel two times a week, and work with a counselor to pursue individually assigned Bible studies intended for character development.
Family Restoration is Our Hallmark
At Gateway Boys Academy, we concentrate on family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend events for training about boundaries and effective parenting.
Most boys in our program turn from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider Gateway.
Although it is not located in Murphy, North Carolina, Gateway can be the sort of environment your boy needs to generate a change for the better. Please call or submit our inquiry form for our boarding school today.
