Our Understanding, Staff Teach Our Boarding School Students a Better Way to Live
Gateway Boys Academy serves teenage boys ages 11 to 17 who have gone off-track with life. Our boarding school is located in the panhandle of Florida, and our facility is accessible from Mount Pleasant, North Carolina and cities around the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we focus on demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Several of our staff have been in your situation, either having completed a similar program themselves or having enrolled a teen of their own in our military school in the past.
Boys are Transformed through Gateway Boys Academy
Students begin in our basic training platoon under the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to cleanliness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives.
At Gateway, boys realize they can stop struggling against authority and start to grow in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. Eventually they promote to higher levels, obtaining privileges and responsibilities along the way. The top level military school cadet is allowed to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Academic Success through Top-Notch Curriculum and Certified Teachers.
Most students who have been failing or falling behind not only get caught up but pull ahead. We meet all requirements by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they complete our academic program. Our school operates year-round as students work at their own speed through high-quality curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow credits to transfer to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
Boys Discover a New Spiritual Relationship, Direction and Purpose In Life
Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Christ and strive to create a Godly atmosphere encouraging to Christian growth. Boys attend group Bible studies, go to chapel services two times a week, and work with a counselor to complete individually assigned Bible studies intended for character growth.
Family Restoration is Our Hallmark
At Gateway, we focus on family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend conferences for teaching on boundaries and positive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider Gateway, a Christian Boarding School.
Although not located in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, Gateway could be just the environment your boy needs to produce a change for the better. We invite you to call or fill out our inquiry form for our boarding school today.
