Gateway Boys Academy serves teenage boys ages 11 to 17 who have gone off-track with life. Our military school is situated in the panhandle of Florida, and our facility is reachable from Kershaw, South Carolina and cities throughout the nation. Teens start in our basic training platoon with the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to orderliness and chores provide them with structure and establish order in their lives.

At Gateway, boys learn to stop struggling against authority and start to gain confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive rather than their previously destructive activities. Eventually, they promote to higher levels, obtaining privileges and responsibilities along the way. The upper level military school cadet is eligible for off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.

Academic Success through High-Quality Curriculum and Skilled Teachers. 

Most students who were failing or falling behind not only catch up but pull ahead. We meet all standards [set by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Our school operates year-round as students work at their own pace through high-quality curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow students to transfer back to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.

Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway Boys Academy. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Jesus Christ and strive to maintain a Godly atmosphere favorable to Christian growth. At Gateway Boys Academy, we concentrate on family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend events for training about boundaries and constructive parenting.
