Gateway Boys Academy serves young men ages 12 to 17 who have chosen a dangerous path in life. Our military school is situated in the panhandle of Florida, and our academy is reachable from Carrollton, Virginia and cities around the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we focus on demonstrating the love of God to every single cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Many of our staff have been in your place, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a teen of their own in our military school in the past.

Boys are Transformed through Our Military School

Boys begin at the lowest rung of our level system. For the first few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to cleanliness and chores surround them with structure and establish order in their lives.

At Gateway, boys figure out how to stop struggling against authority and begin to grow in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive as opposed to their previously destructive activities. Over time, they promote to higher levels, gaining privileges and responsibilities as they move up. The highest level student is allowed to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.

Most teens who have been failing or falling behind not only get caught up but get ahead. We meet all standards for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Our academy operates year-round as students work at their own pace through top-notch curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow credits to transfer to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.

Boys Discover a New Spiritual Relationship, Direction, and Purpose In Life

Spiritual life is an important element of Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Christ and strive to keep a Godly atmosphere favorable to Christian growth. Boys attend group sessions, and meet with a counselor to pursue individually assigned sessions intended for character growth.
