Understanding, Compassionate Staff Teach Our Students a Better Way to Live
As a member of the nationally recognized Teen Challenge program, Gateway Boys Academy serves boys ages 12 to 17 who have chosen a dangerous path in life. Our military school is situated in the panhandle of Florida, and our campus is reachable from Topeka, Kansas and cities across the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we believe in demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. A few of our staff have been in your place, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
A Christian Boarding School that Paves the Way for Transformation
Boys begin at the lowest rung of our level system. For the first few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to neatness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives. They learn to stop struggling against authority and begin to grow in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive as opposed to their previously destructive activities. In time, they promote to higher levels, earning privileges and responsibilities along the way. The senior level military school cadet is permitted to participate in off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Teaching the Importance of Academic Success
Our school operates year-round as students study at their own speed through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Most teens who were failing or falling behind not only catch up but get ahead. We meet all requirements by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they complete our academic program. Our high standards allow credits to transfer to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction, and Purpose
The spiritual side of life is important at Gateway Boys Academy. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Christ and strive to establish a Godly atmosphere helpful to Christian growth. Students attend group sessions, go to chapel services twice each week, and spend time with a counselor to discuss individually assigned character studies.
A Concentration on Family Relationships
At Gateway Boys Academy, we promote family restoration. After four months, parents can begin benefiting from insightful special teaching on boundaries, godly marriages, and effective parenting.
Most boys in our program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a desire for serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider Gateway.
Although it is not in Topeka, Kansas, it could be the sort of environment he needs to create a positive change. Please call or submit our inquiry form for our boarding school today.
