Understanding, Compassionate Staff Teach Our Boarding School Students a Better Way to Live
Belonging to the nationally recognized Teen Challenge program, Gateway Boys Academy serves teenage boys ages 11 to 17 who have chosen a dangerous path in life. Our military school is situated in the panhandle of Florida, and our academy is reachable from Raleigh, North Carolina and cities across the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we focus on demonstrating the love of God to every single cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. A few of our staff have been in your place, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
A Christian Boarding School that Paves the Way for Transformation
Boys begin at the lowest rung of our level system. For the first months, physical training, a packed schedule, attention to cleanliness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives. They begin to stop struggling against authority and begin to gain confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. Over time, they promote to higher levels, acquiring privileges and responsibilities along the way. The highest level military school cadet is able to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Understanding the Importance of Academic Success
Classes run year-round as students work at their own pace through top-notch curriculum and certified teachers. Most boys who were failing or falling behind not only catch up but get ahead. We meet all qualifications by the State of Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Our high standards allow credits to transfer to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction and Purpose
Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway Boys Academy. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Christ and strive to maintain a Godly atmosphere conducive to Christian growth. Young men attend group Bible studies, go to chapel twice weekly, and spend time with a counselor to discuss individually assigned Bible studies meant to build character.
A Concentration on Family Relationships
At Gateway Boys Academy, we give attention to family restoration. After four months of enrollment for the cadet, parents begin attending weekend conferences to learn about boundaries, strong marriages, and positive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a desire for serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider Gateway, a Christian Boarding School.
Although not in Raleigh, North Carolina, it may be just the environment he needs to make a positive change. We invite you to call or fill in our inquiry form for our boarding school today.

Effective June 6, 2003 the U.S. Office of Management and Budget redefined the Federal Statistical Areas and dismantled what had been for decades the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, MSA and split them into two separate MSAs, even though the region still functions as a single metropolitan area. This resulted in the formation of the Raleigh-Cary, NC MSA and the Durham-Chapel Hill, NC MSA.
The Research Triangle region encompasses the U.S. Census Bureau’s Combined Statistical Area (CSA) of Raleigh-Durham-Cary in the central Piedmont region of North Carolina.
