Similar to the structure and order of a military school, at Gateway wayward teenage boys turn into respectful, confident leaders and responsible citizens. Gateway Boys Academy has the same discipline of a military school, but it is more caring. We are a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm, as well as counseling and mentoring, competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on outreach to help disadvantaged people in third-world countries. All of these are meant to bring change in a boy’s heart and life.

Understanding, Compassionate Staff Teach Our Students a Better Way to Live
As a member of the nationally recognized Teen Challenge program, Gateway Boys Academy serves teenage boys ages 12 to 17 who have made rebellious choices in life. Our campus is located in the panhandle of Florida, and our academy is reachable from Hialeah, Florida and cities across the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we commit to demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Several of our staff have been in your situation, either having been through a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
Our Military School Paves the Way for Transformation
For the initial few months, physical training, a packed schedule, attention to cleanliness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives. They learn to stop struggling against authority and begin to grow in confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive as an alternative to their previously destructive activities. Eventually, they promote to higher levels, acquiring privileges and responsibilities along the way. After a time of successfully adhering to our program the boy becomes eligible for off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Teaching the Importance of Academic Success
Classes run year-round as students study at their own speed through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Most teens who were failing or falling behind not only get up to date but get far ahead. We meet all established by Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they graduate our academic program. Our high standards allow students to transfer back to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction, and Purpose
Spiritual life is an important element of Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with God, and we strive to keep a Godly atmosphere favorable to Christian growth. Boys attend group sessions, go to chapel twice weekly, and work with a counselor to discuss studies meant to build character.
A Concentration on Family Restoration
At Gateway Boys Academy, we promote family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents can begin benefiting from insightful special teaching on boundaries, godly marriages, and positive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn away from their self-focused behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider Gateway.
