A Christian Boarding School that Paves the Way for Transformation
Students begin at the lowest rung of our level system. For the first few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to neatness and chores provide them with structure and establish order in their lives. They figure out how to stop struggling against authority and begin to get confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. In time, they promote to higher levels, acquiring privileges and responsibilities along the way. The highest level student is permitted to participate in off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Learning the Importance of Academic Success
Classes run year-round as students study at their own pace through high-quality curriculum and certified teachers. Most teens who were failing or falling behind not just get caught up but pull ahead. We meet all standards [set by Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Our high standards allow transfers to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction, and Purpose
Spiritual life forms a large part of life at Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Jesus and strive to maintain a Godly atmosphere conducive to Christian growth. Young men attend group Bible studies, go to chapel two times a week, and work with a counselor for individually assigned Bible studies intended to build character.
A Concentration on Family Restoration
At Gateway, we focus on family restoration. After four months of enrollment for the cadet, parents begin attending weekend events to learn about boundaries, strong marriages, and positive parenting.
Most students in our program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider Gateway.
