A Christian Boarding School that Paves the Way for Transformation
Boys start in our basic training platoon with the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to orderliness and chores give them structure and establish order in their lives. They begin to stop struggling against authority and start to gain confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive instead of their previously destructive activities. In time, they promote to higher levels, earning privileges and responsibilities in the process. The senior level military school cadet is allowed to do off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Understanding the Importance of Academic Success
Our school operates year round as students work at their own pace through top-notch curriculum and certified teachers. Most students who had been failing or falling behind not just catch up but get far ahead. Gateway meets all standards [set by Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas at the completion of our academic program. Our high standards allow transfers to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
A New Spiritual Relationship, Direction and Purpose
We emphasize spiritual life at Gateway Boys Academy. We strive to introduce every cadet to a relationship with Jesus Christ and strive to maintain a Godly atmosphere conducive to Christian growth. Boys attend group Bible studies, go to chapel services twice weekly, and meet with a counselor to discuss individually assigned Bible studies intended for character growth.
A Concentration on Family Restoration
At Gateway Boys Academy, we promote family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend conferences for training about boundaries, healthy marriages, and positive parenting.
Most boys in our program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a desire for serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider Gateway.
