Our Understanding, Staff Teach Our Boarding School Students a Better Way to Live
Gateway Boys Academy serves boys ages 11 to 17 who have made rebellious choices in life. Our military school is situated in the panhandle of Florida, and our campus is accessible from Barboursville, Virginia and cities throughout the nation. While the program is very disciplined and structured, we believe in demonstrating the love of God to every cadet, surrounding him with compassionate care. Many of our staff have been in your situation, either having completed a similar program themselves or having enrolled a child of their own in our military school in the past.
Boys are Transformed through Our Military School
Teens begin in our basic training platoon under the supervision of drill instructors. For the initial few months, physical exercise, a packed schedule, attention to neatness and chores surround them with structure and establish order in their lives.
At Gateway, boys figure out how to stop struggling against authority and begin to gain confidence by mastering challenges that are constructive rather than their previously destructive activities. In time, they promote to higher levels, earning privileges and responsibilities in the process. The top level military school cadet is eligible for off-campus sports, outreaches, and travel.
Academic Success through Top-Notch Curriculum and Certified Teachers.
Most boys who have been failing or falling behind not only catch up but get ahead. We meet all requirements by Florida for high school graduation, and students earn diplomas when they complete our academic program. Our school operates year-round as students work at their own pace through first-rate curriculum and certified teachers. Our high standards allow credits to transfer to public institutions or to go on to college or the military.
Boys Discover a New Relationship with God, Direction and Purpose In Life
Spiritual things are important at Gateway Boys Academy. We offer to every cadet a relationship with Christ and strive to maintain a Godly atmosphere conducive to Christian growth. Students attend group Bible studies, go to chapel twice each week, and spend time with a counselor to discuss individually assigned Bible studies designed for character development.
Family Restoration is Our Hallmark
At Gateway Boys Academy, we promote family restoration. Four months after the cadet enrolls, parents begin attending weekend seminars to learn about boundaries and effective parenting.
Most boys in our program turn from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider Gateway, a Christian Boarding School.
Although it is not located in Barboursville, Virginia, Gateway can be the sort of environment your boy needs to generate a positive change. We invite you to call or fill out our inquiry form for our boarding school today.
